This is the first cup replay staged at the Turf for almost six years. The last time was in the fifth round of the 2002/03 FA Cup campaign and came about after a drawn game against Fulham, and just like this tie the first game was played at Loftus Road.
That night we beat Fulham 3-0 which took us to Watford for the quarter finals and a day we'd rather forget. Our only other draw since was two years later, also in the fifth round, when a replay at Ewood Park followed a 0-0 draw at home against Blackburn in the fifth round.
Since the first game, all's been quiet at Loftus Road. Just ahead of the tie they signed Wayne Routledge from Aston Villa, and had completed the deals for Gary Borrowdale and Heidar Helguson. But there have been no further signings other than Lee Cook completing his permanent return to Loftus Road.
In their one game since they drew 1-1 at home on Saturday against Coventry with Dexter Blackstock scoring a late equaliser.
With Burnley looking for a first FA Cup win since 2005 and QPR not having won a game in the competition since 2001, one of us will be able to break that tonight. Hopefullyit will be the Clarets in fourth round action a week on Saturday.
As stated above Routledge can't play tonight and QPR will also be without Patrick Agyemang who had surgery at the weekend. Lee Cook could also miss out because of a virus. and both Rowan Vine and Akos Buzsaky are out with long term injuries.
Fitz Hall should be back in the reckoning but could start from the bench and their team could be: Radek Cerny, Damien Delaney, Damion Stewart, Kaspars Gorkss, Matthew Connolly, Hogan Ephraim, Martin Rowlands, Gavin Mahon, Mikele Leigertwood, Dexter Blackstock, Heidar Helguson. Subs: Jake Cole, Fitz Hall, Emmanuel Ledesma, Matteo Alberti, Samuel Di Carmine.
Burnley will make at least one change from the side beaten by Swansea. Michael Duff is ruled out with a one match ban after being sent off and he is almost certainly to be replaced by Clarke Carlisle who was left out on Saturday.
Kevin McDonald is still out injured and that means it could otherwise be the same team unless Owen Coyle opts for Steven Thompson to come in, possibly at the expense of Robbie Blake.
Our team could be: Brian Jensen, Graham Alexander, Clarke Carlisle, Steven Caldwell, Stephen Jordan, Wade Elliott, Joey Gudjonsson, Chris McCann, Chris Eagles, Martin Paterson, Steven Thompson: Subs from: Diego Penny, Christian Kalvenes, Alex MacDonald, Ade Akinbiyi, Jay Rodriguez, Robbie Blake.
