Profile by Andy Ashworth
Former England schools forward was spotted by legendary scout Jack Hixon up in the North East and joined Burnley in 2001. During the 2002-03 season he was named on the bench a number of times and made two substitute appearances. He was however, one of the thirteen to be axed at the end of the year as Stan had a clear-out.
Upon leaving us he found himself unable to win a deal at a league club. He had an unsuccessful trial at Hartlepool before signing a reserve team deal with Conference side Accrington. Never being considered for 1st team action made his mind up and he was on the move again, signing for Gateshead. His time at the International Stadium was shared with fellow former Claret Anthony Shandran, although they played briefly together. As Shandy made a goalscoring debut against Rossendale, Ras was immediately transfer listed following the match, in which he also scored, for talking to other clubs and failing to maintain an acceptable level of fitness.
He moved on to the mighty West Allotment Celtic for one year before joining Newcastle Benfield Bay Plastics for the 2006-07 season. He looks to be carrying a little more weight than when he was here but sounds like he stills has all the tricks that first caught the eye of Jack Hixon all those years ago.
