A small working group, including members of the message board and Burnley FC Supporters Groups, was put together with Burnley Football Club chief executive David Baldwin to consider all the suggestions put forward, one of which was to have player pictures placed alongside each turnstile.
Whilst that proved to be not altogether simple it is the first suggestion to have been taken forward.
The pictures will not necessarily be alongside the turnstiles but It is planned to have thirty player photographs added to the walls of the three home stands, ten on each stand, on boards measuring 7ft by 3ft.
Which players? That will be up to supporters who are to be given the opportunity to vote. The voting will start this Saturday morning to coincide with the opening day of the season and when it gets underway you will be able to select up to six players you would like to see included.
You will be able to vote for any six from the extensive list provided although the final choice will include players from different eras to ensure they cover the history of our club.
The vote, which will be carried out via Survey Monkey, will be well publicised and you will have just over ten days to submit your choices.
The Jimmy Adamson board shown with this article is a mock up. No final decision has, as yet, been made on the design of the boards.
Watch out for news on how, when and where to vote. The information will be here on Clarets Mad, on social media and also via the club and the local press.
