Over 350 supporters packed into the James Hargreaves Suite at Turf Moor on Tuesday for the Supporters' Clubs' Player of the Year evening and saw two special awards presented along with those from each Supporters' Club.
Last year's event had been held ahead of the last league game of the season against Bristol City and the supporters took the opportunity to recognise the achievement of reaching the Premier League. All four play-off goalscorers were presented with awards by Accrington Clarets at the beginning of the evening before Steven Caldwell (captain) and goalscorer Wade Elliott stepped up to receive a specially commissioned award on behalf of the team. The award will now reside in the trophy cabinent at Turf Moor.
The evening ended with the now traditional presentation of a Special Achievement Award and this year it went to Barry Kilby for his contribution to the club as chairman, a period that has seen us climb from the depths of the third level of English football to this current season in the Premier League.
Entertainment came from Director of Youth Development Martin Dobson whilst Kilby also addressed the audience after receiving his award.
The event was attended by the manager, his staff and the entire first team squad with the exception of Leon Cort and Michael Duff. Cort's wife had been taken ill whilst Duff's wife had given birth that morning.
Below are some pictured from the evening followed by the winners.
