Frank takes first step on the coaching ladder

At the time Jackson said they needed his experience both on and off the pitch. He also described it as a terrific signing and said the fans would love him.

Now just those few weeks on, Frank is ready to take his first steps on the coaching ladder with Lincoln. He hasn't formally been appointed as a player/coach but will carry out coaching duties.

On Tuesday of this week he made his touchline debut in the pre-season friendly against Retford alongside the manager and coaches Iffy Onuora and Grant Brown.

Jackson said: "He's got the experience and the knowledge, now he gets a little more responsibility but it is a big step up for him."
