He's signed for Sheffield United for the maximum 93 days allowed for an emergency loan and will therefore be with the Blades until 28th December. Robertson meanwhile had played all of his football on loan at various clubs until this week when he made his Sheffield United debut as a substitute in their 6-0 Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal.
It's been a difficult few months for Dyer both on and off the field, and he was banished from the squad in pre-season when he initially refused to sign a new deal. Poortvliet has suggested they'll take another look at him after the loan but the likelihood is he'll be on his way out of St. Mary's soon.
