Boyd, who scored that late third equaliser, romped home with the man of the match, securing 44.5% of the vote. Ben Mee, who moved from left back into the centre of defence, was third with 18.0% and was followed by the front two Ings and Ashley Barnes who took the next two places with 9.9% and 8.8% of the vote.
It was tight in the player ratings with Boyd and Ings finishing joint top. Both had ratings of 8.26 out of 10 and there were two other players who reached the eight out of ten. Michael Keane, who had three different defensive partners throughout the game, was third with 8.18 and Barnes took fourth place with 8.00 out of 10.
That result means Boyd won the maximum ten points towards the Clarets Mad Player of the Year with seven points for Ings, three for Mee and two each for Barnes and Keane.
Those points have brought a new leader in the table with Ings now moving five points ahead of Shackell at the top. Barnes has now moved within nine points of third place Scott Arfield and now with a lead of just two points over Boyd.
The voting continues for the Tottenham cup tie and will run for the remainder of today.
