Just three goals from four games has got the Clarets' gaffer Sean Dyche trawling through the list of players who are out of contract, without a club and available on a free transfer.

Ex-Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion striker Stephane Sessegnon is the target of serious intent for Sean Dyche's goal shy Clarets.

Sessegnon originally joined the West Midland outfit for a £6 million fee from Sunderland in the summer of 2013.

The Benin international was allowed to leave the Hawthorns for nothing this summer, following the end of his Baggies' contract.

Sessegnon made 92 appearances for West Brom in all competitions during his time at the club.

He scored eight goals during his time with the Baggies and is regarded as a versatile player who can operate offensively in a variety of forward roles.

He may be just what Sean Dyche needs as the Burnley gaffer seeks to address his team's paucity in the goals for column. (TEC).
