The South London press were yesterday suggesting that a move was imminent and that Charlton were set to offer £1.5 million for him and they were very much right in that Charlton boss Alan Pardew has made an offer.

That offer has been described by Burnley as substantial but the club have also revealed that it falls well short of our valuation of him. They have also confirmed that we have received enquiries from a number of clubs and it does appear from this morning's tabloids that one of t those clubs is Ipswich Town whilst at least one other Championship club is considered to be interested.

Andy's last goals for the Clarets were against Charlton at the Valley on 1st December. He is now expected to be in the Burnley line up at Coventry on Saturday when he hopes to scored his first goal in nine games.

Gray is contracted to the Clarets until the end of next season. There has been some confusion over that this week with conflicting information coming out of the club, but they have today confirmed he has another season and a half remaining on his contract.
