Clarets hoping to tie up Nimani deal

Talks are continuing between the two clubs for a player who has been a topic of discussion with Burnley fans all week and today manager Brian Laws said: "Quite clearly there is a huge interest and we are trying to do something within the next 24 hours.

"However, until he signs he is not our player and there's not much more we can discuss. We want to try to strengthen the team and while I am prioritising other areas, if there's an opportunity we can't miss then we will nip in."

Meanwhile the club have confirmed they are still actively trying to extend David Nugent's loan from the Premier League's crisis club Portsmouth.
