Unfortunately, two weeks on and things are little better. The message board is up and running but is in such a state that it is hardly useable and many people, including myself most of the time, are even unable to login.
I have no updates I can give you. My last communication with the host company was two days ago when the response suggested they thought the message board was actually functioning.
Because of these problems I have suspended the Guess The Gate competition. Neither the Blackpool nor Huddersfield games will be included. It will return as soon as possible.
The popular Interactive FA Cup has also had to be suspended. We are now just two days ahead of the third round, the time when our competition starts, and it hasn't been possible to launch it due to the non-running message board.
Should things be working in time there may be a cut down competition starting with the fourth round.
From now, I will endeavour to keep the site itself up to date, something that also has fallen behind, and some of the pre-match and post-match regular features will return for the Southampton game in the FA Cup this weekend.
Again I can only apologise. It is a massive frustration for me as you can imagine.
Today, I can confirm that Bobby Madley will referee our cup tie this Saturday (I thought I'd start with some disappointing news). There will be more on that tomorrow but today there will be the guest report from Jason Howorth from yesterday's game, the latest article from Dave Thomas and my review of the Championship following the first fixtures of 2014.
A belated Happy New Year to you all with the wish that things will be back to normal as soon as possible.
