The central defender suddenly re-appeared at Southport a week before Christmas when he was in their side beaten in the Unibond League Cup against Guiseley. He then played in their 1-1 Boxing Day draw at Marine before finding himself an unused sub on New Year’s Day when they beat Burscough 2-1 at Haig Avenue. But Earl is on the move again and has joined 3rd Division Swansea City on trial where he will find some familiar faces in Brad Maylett and Lenny Johnrose as well as manager Brian Flynn who spent some considerable time at Burnley during the 2001/02 season.
We have no details as to how long Earl will be with them or whether they are keen to take him on a permanent basis but it has now been confirmed to Clarets Mad that he is with them.
