Preston North End revealed this morning: “At Lancashire Constabulary's request Preston North End have had to move the kick off of their home game against Burnley to 1:00 p.m. The game takes place at Deepdale on Saturday 17th March, but the police authorities have been in touch with the club asking for the game to be moved to an earlier kick off time for fears of disorder.
Early kick off at Deepdale
Preston North End revealed this morning: “At Lancashire Constabulary's request Preston North End have had to move the kick off of their home game against Burnley to 1:00 p.m. The game takes place at Deepdale on Saturday 17th March, but the police authorities have been in touch with the club asking for the game to be moved to an earlier kick off time for fears of disorder.
“Burnley suffered damage to hundreds of seats at Turf Moor, caused by North End supporters and police do not want a repeat of this sort of behaviour at Deepdale.”
It is not the first time we've had early kick offs at Preston, and in recent years a number of home games have been brought forward following police requests.
