Both QPR and ourselves had to sit it out as Leicester won a seventh consecutive league game, beating Middlesbrough 2-0 at the King Power where they incredibly won themselves a 14th penalty of the season.
David Nugent is the penalty taker now for Leicester but he missed for a third time this season after another former Claret Rhys Williams had made a hash of a challenge in the box.
They were already 1-0 up from a controversial goal and went on to score again. The controversy on the first goal was Nugent pulling the ball back after television pictures showed it had gone out of play for a goal kick.
The win has taken them eight points clear of QPR who have a one point advantage over us and we remain the last side to take points from Leicester.
Ipswich were the only other winners, beating Reading 2-0; the other two games at Blackburn and Blackpool both ended in 1-1 draws.
We'll be back in action this Tuesday with a home game against Brighton in what is the Championship's first midweek fixture list of the calendar year, and Brighton are not the only team whose supporters face a long Tuesday trip with Huddersfield at Bournemouth probably being the worst of them.
Those fixtures are below with the usual stats from the few games this weekend.
