Pughy was the one third year scholar at Burnley last season and he certainly made an impact with the youth team, scoring no fewer than fifteen goals by October. He had two spells in the Conference with Kidderminster but when he wasn't offered a deal by the Clarets he joined Bury for the rest of the season on the loan transfer deadline day.
Two days later he made his Football League debut as a late substitute, and three weeks later he got his first start at Lincoln. He scored his first goal for the Shakers that day in a vital 1-1 draw, taking the ball on his right foot before hitting home a left footed half volley with his left foot.
He's made a total of six appearances for Bury and turned in some impressive performances. Now aged 19, he celebrated his birthday last month, he has been offered a one year deal with them that he is expected to sign.
