The Sinister One replaced Peter Grant who himself had only been in the job for around a year, but with the Canaries only above the relegation places on goal difference they have today decided a change of manager is what is needed.

Recently Roeder's assistant Lee Clark departed for Huddersfield and today, along with the manager, Norwich have also terminated the contracts of coaches Paul Stephenson and Adam Sadler.

Chairman Roger Munby said: "We'd like to place on record our sincere gratitude and admiration for what Glenn and his staff achieved last season when they saved the club from relegation against the odds.

"However, this season the positions has become untenable and it is with regret that the board has decided to take this step."

Who will take over from Roeder? Come on, let's be havin' you!!

Norwich become the seventh Championship club to change manager since the start of the season and this news takes Owen Coyle up to 47th in the list of longest serving managers, just one short of the top half.
