In recent years the Football League have scheduled a full fixture list on the midweek after the FA Cup 4th round and this season is no exception. A year ago we went to Derby after having had a blank Saturday and in the previous year we turned down a similar request from Brighton to move the midweek game to the Saturday when both were out of the cup.
This season it is Scunthorpe and with our scheduled visitors also having suffered an FA Cup exit (they were beaten by Preston) it has allowed the two clubs to agree to a change and bring the game forward.
It will now be played on Saturday 26th January kicking off at 3:00 p.m. rather than the original date of Tuesday 29th January.
