Less than an hour into his debut he was substituted and we've never seen him in competitive first team action since. He played reserve games but amazingly when we were short of players for the FA Cup tie at QPR in January last year he was suddenly unavailable.
Yet soon after he was fit and well enough to sign for Brøndby and spend the second half of last season with them.
There were suggestions that a permanent deal had been set up for him to join them last summer but that didn't materialise. However, today he has agreed another loan deal with them for the next season and a half that will see his Burnley contract come to an end.
Hopefully he'll join a club with a manager who is prepared to work with him and recognise him, thus bringing his Burnley nightmare to an end.
