Burnley look set to give record signing Jeff Hendrick his Clarets' debut against Hull City at Turf Moor today.

It appears likely that Jeff Hendrick will partner Burnley's previous record signing Steven Defour in a £20 million pound midfield duo.

Hull City target Jeff Hendrick who joined the Clarets on transfer deadline day is all set to line up against Mike Phelan's Tigers today at Turf Moor.

With Dean Marney suffering an injury set back, it clears the way for Hendrick and Belgium international Steven Defour to forge a new partnership in the Clarets' midfield engine room.

The departure of Joey Barton who will experience his first "Old Firm" clash today Celtic Park and Dave Jones to Sheffield Wednesday, meant that Burnley had to dig deep and find two replacements.

Burnley Chairman Mike Garlick was as good as his word and found the money to capture two established international midfield players.

A £20 million outlay will consequently be on parade at Turf Moor today

Burnley's two loan signings Jon Flanagan from Liverpool and Chelsea's Patrick Bamford are likely to be on the bench.

I expect Burnley to line up in Sean Dyche's favoured 4-4-2 formation:

Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward, Defour, Hendrick, Arfield, Vokes, Gray & Boyd. (TEC).
