You have a choice of four goals for December

Danny Ings won the November vote

That's one more goal than was in the November vote but there was a penalty and an own goal during that month taking the total number of goals scored to five.

Going into December we'd only failed to score in one league game all season, the 2-0 defeat at Brighton back in August, but in the last month of 2013 we drew three blank sheets. Two of them, against Watford at home and at Wigan, came in 0-0 draws and there was the 1-0 Boxing Day defeat at  Middlesbrough.

That leaves the four goals from the three remaining games and the first of them was the winner against Barnsley at home on the first Saturday of December. It was Michael Kightly's first goal for the Clarets. He received the ball from Kieran Trippier, went past Barnsley's David Perkins before hitting a shot into the far corner from just inside the box.

Danny Ings got the next two. The first was our equaliser at Leicester when he turned in a Trippier cross from close range and he then scored the first against Blackpool, converting well after Michael Duff had dummied a right wing corner.

Just after half time in that game came the last goal of the year. David Jones and Ben Mee combined on the left with Mee finding Scott Arfield who curled the ball into the far corner from outside the box on the left wing.

You can vote during the next three days via the front page of the site or from the VOTING POLLS page, and the winning goal will be guaranteed a place in the Goal of the Season vote in May.
