Youth team will be guests

With no ex-Claret, it will be the youth team taking centre stage tonight for the draw, the lads who have made such an impressive start to the season and earned their shot at Everton with a 3-1 win over West Brom in the third round of the national competition.

It is disappointing that they can't play tomorrow on the Turf, an astounding decision given that the pitch won't be required again by the first team for another week, and that will mean less people seeing the tie tomorrow.

But show the lads your appreciation tonight, they deserve it with a current record this season of thirteen wins, one draw and one defeat, with that defeat coming in a penalty shoot out at Shrewsbury in the Youth Alliance Cup and the draw a result of a late equaliser from Blackpool.

Tomorrow's game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. and with the weather nothing like it was there seems no likelihood of this one being called off and getting that much wanted switch to the Turf.
