Shaun Vipond completed the scoring in the second half when he chipped the ball over the advancing keeper after a long run into the box.
Burnley born Adnan Ahmed scored the winner for Tranmere at Manchester City. Adam Clayton had given the home side the lead before Tranmere came back to go in front with two goals from Tom Beahon before half time.
City got on top in the second half and looked as though they could go on to win it when Javan Vidal equalised with twelve minutes to go. That was until Ahmed struck with a free kick six minutes from time.
Wrexham should have played Chester on the Monday, and did but the result won't count. The league game was called off when Buckley Town's pitch was declared unfit but the two sides still met at Wrexham's Colliers Park training ground in a friendly. Chester went in front but Wrexham came back to win it 2-1.
It will be two weeks before we are next in action, and that is against Bury on Wednesday 6th February at Radcliffe Borough's ground. We drew the home game 1-1 with Rob Turner getting our goal.
