There were only two games scheduled and one of those, between Port Vale and Preston, was postponed, leaving only the clash between second and third going ahead.
Bury started the day with a two point lead over Rochdale, who had a game in hand on them, and two points behind leaders Wigan, who had played a game more.
A Rochdale win would see the pair swap places but Bury won it 4-0 and that has taken them to the top of the league for the first time.
Hopefully there will be some improvement in the weather to enable this week's games to go ahead although I don't hold out too much hope for the two scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.
Burnley are due to play Accrington this Saturday, although no venue has been confirmed, but before that we face Cardiff tomorrow night at the Turf in the FA Youth Cup 4th round.
