That name was Trialist, and there were plenty from the same family in Burnley's win against Oldham Athletic in a development squad friendly on the same day, one day earlier than that advertised by our club.
The names Kyle Brownhill, Ryan Burge, Johnny Gorman, Dylan McGlade, Bradley Anderson and Jaden Hall were all in the starting line up.
A quick search tells us that Brownhill is an 18-year-old defender from Stockport who has been attracting interest from other clubs while Ryan Burge left Port Vale in April having had his contract terminated after making comments on Twitter.
The 24-year-old midfielder was the subject of a six figure bid from Peterborough in January, a bid turned down by Vale, and was initially expected to sign for them this summer.
Johnny Gorman, aged 20, is a Sheffield born winger who has very little first team experience. He started at Manchester United as a youngster but has just been released by Wolves after two years at Molineux. He played just once for them, as a substitute in a Premier League game against Norwich, and he also made two Football League appearances for Plymouth during a loan in the early part of last season.
However, he does have international experience. After playing for Northern Ireland at various age levels, he won his first international cap in 2010 at the age of 17 and has now gone on to win nine full caps.
Dylan McGlade is another 18-year-old. He's a Dubliner who has been playing for Middlesbrough having previously been with Aitricity League club Shelbourne.
Jaden Hall, a former Blackburn trainee, is a midfielder released by Stoke and is the only one of the group whose name has been previously published. And the last one, Bradley Anderson, I'm afraid I've been able to find nothing on.
They played in an amazing game at Oldham's Chapel Road training ground. For much of the game it did look as though we might suffer a heavy defeat and with 14 minutes remaining we trailed 4-1.
But twice I've been there and seen remarkable comebacks by Burnley teams and it happened again. We pulled one back on 76 minutes and added another a minute later. Then on 82 and 83 minutes we repeated it with another double to turn things round and end with a 5-4 win.
Four of the goals were scored by the trialists. Hall, who had scored in the 2-2 draw against Wolves grabbed a brace with both Burge and Bradley Anderson scoring. Jamie Frost was also on the scoresheet for Burnley.
